#SpringFix – 5 classic fashion pieces to brighten up your wardrobe
I believe that like me, you can’t wait for spring. After months of dark and cold days, we are starting to see a bit more sunshine and nicer temperatures. Additionally, we are seeing new collections on Instagram, TikTok, and magazines, and we want to wear them, right? But the unpredictable weather of March and April seems to want us to suffer a bit more. Even so, amid storms, we have selected 5 classic fashion pieces that will lift the mood of your wardrobe and make you feel as fresh as a daisy.
Our editors independently select all products featured on Notorious-mag. However, we may get a commission when you buy through our links.
- Red Tights or Socks
A splash of colour in our grey, black, and beige uniform that has been with us since last November is like a dose of Prozac in your wardrobe. You will see the world through coloured lenses. And the red tights or socks, besides being a classic fashion piece, are the accessory of the moment for the coolest Instagrammers.
- Head Scarf
The wind is still cold, and personally, I get cold on my head. But I can’t stand wearing beanies or balaclavas anymore. However, the silk scarf tied on the head in the style of the 60s and 70s is a great solution. Silk scarves are one of the most classic fashion pieces that give a retro accent to the look, which French women know how to explore super well. And besides protecting you from the cold, it immediately takes you into the spring vibe.
- Straw Bag
Take advantage of the French woman’s heritage, which is an even stronger trend this year. Do like them and don’t wait for summer to use your straw bag. As we see in the photo, they use their bags in the city, paired with winter coats. This contrast is all the charm of the look. A straw bag is another classic in the wardrobe that adds a holiday vibe to your day-to-day. I won’t wait until summer to use my Marina Raphael designer bag, which I’m in love with.
- Loewe-inspired Barbour coat
Spring is the season of the trench coat. A classic, right? But this Loewe-inspired coat from Barbour is my current obsession. On the Loewe SS23 runway, the models wore this coat over micro mini dresses, but we love how fashion retail and brands strategist, Ramya Giangola wore the coat with a maxi skirt. This coat has the perfect design to bring the heritage of hunting coats to the city.
- Alaïa Ballerinas and Other Mary Janes
Now is the time to wear Mary Jane-style flats that look beautiful with socks. Although ballerina flats and Mary Janes are classic fashion pieces, this year they return as a big novelty. This Alaia model is the new darling of Instagram and will give a boost of spring to your still wintery look.
These 5 classic fashion pieces will bring warmth to your look. And to help you feel in the spring mood, have already your first ice cream cone. I did it. Yum! More Spring ideas, here and here too.
