IG Inspiration: What to Wear in February Fashion’s Boring Month
After several months of cold weather, we’re looking forward to spring and don’t feel like buying new winter clothes now, even on sale. As a result, many don’t know what to wear and end up donning the same looks repeatedly, making February the most boring month for fashion and style. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Here are some outfit ideas and inspiration from Instagram to refresh your winter looks without having to shop in January unless you want to, of course.

Dinner for Two
To liven up February, you can host an informal dinner. So, give a second life and refresh your favourite pullover with the help of one or several brooches. But wear the brooch in a modern way for extra oomph. Gather your knitwear on your waist and pin it with the brooch. What a great inspiration from Instagram. With this outfit idea, you can wear your old sweater with a totally new vibe in February.
Running Errands
If you need to run errands but run out of outfit ideas and don’t know what to wear in February anymore, check out this Instagram inspiration. Open your wardrobe and try new colour combinations. Have fun pairing clothes you already have; the bolder the colours, the better. As we are seeing here in the streets of Paris now–where Notorious is doing a gap year :), all French girls have something red in their outfits. But Amy from Cumbria, Lake District, is a step ahead in showing how you can add colour to your wardrobe and turn February into a fun-filled month. Maybe start it with a Barbie pink scarf. And find out which colours suit you best here.
Zoom Meeting
By now, you’re more than an expert on looking good for Zoom meetings, aren’t you? You know you must focus on the upper part of your body. So all attention is on the collar of your shirts. This February use and abuse of the turtle neck to create a modern layering. Black turtleneck paired with a white shirt, red turtleneck paired with a denim shirt and green turtle neck with an off-white sweater vest.
Walking the Dog
An easy way to refresh your winter outfits is by adding colourful sunglasses. Even if there’s no sun, ask Anna Wintour to be sure. Colour adds a unique energy to your wardrobe. This is particularly true this year, as the ‘Quiet Luxury‘ trend has favoured neutral shades, along with black and white. And sunglasses with coloured frames or lenses are the perfect trick to spice up your outfit in this boring month.
Office Outfit
A blazer and trousers always work for the office look, we know that, right? But take advantage of February to freshen up your work outfit and go for a massive layering. Who did say we can’t wear two or three scarves in different sizes and patterns? The concept is to keep warm but in a much more fun and innovative way. Throw your poncho and scarves over your jacket and underneath, guess what, a classic office suit!
