The Duchess of Cambridge’s looks at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Royal Inspiration.
Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations across the UK have just wrapped up, and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has pulled all the fashion stops, appearing in fabulous looks at each festivity.
The royal fashion icon looked stunning to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne in style. Above all, she’s championed British fashion. Consequently, Kate wore her signature tailoring, coat dresses, and fabulous hats by some of her favourite designers in the UK. So, here are all the best looks that Catherine Duchess of Cambridge wore during the fabulous Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Kicking off the Queen’s Jubilee in white and navy blue
Queen Elizabeth is the first British monarch to ever celebrate a 70 year-reign. She kicked off the four-day festivities with the Trooping the Colour parade. Kate Middleton arrived in the carriage procession with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Certainly, the three stole the show on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. She was radiant in a white Alexander McQueen coat dress and a navy and white hat by the Irish haute couture miller Phillip Treacy. In addition, Kate paid tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, with the diamond and sapphire jewellery pieces that completed her outfit. Besides her engagement ring, she also donned a matching necklace and drop earrings that once belonged to Prince William’s mother.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s soft yellow look at St Paul’s Cathedral
The royal family attended the Thanksgiving service in London’s cathedral the next day, followed by a Guildhall reception. All eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge, by far the most elegant attendee, wearing a pastel yellow Emilia Wickstead look and a Phillip Treacy fabulous fascinator in the same hue. The statement hat embellished with roses and ribbons is from Treacy’s SS22 collection. The bespoke midi dress with a crossover front highlighted Kate’s enviable figure, and she finished her fabulous look with nude Gianvito Rossi pumps, matching gloves, and a straw clutch. Additionally, she wore the Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings from the Queen’s royal jewellery collection. The stunning diamond and pearl earrings were made with pearls Queen Elizabeth received as a wedding gift when she married Prince Philip.
Visiting Wales in poppy red for the Queen’s Jubilee
One of Kate Middleton’s signature looks is tailored coat dresses. So, to visit Wales with her husband and two older children on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a red Eponine coat, black pumps and a matching DeMellier Nano Montreal bag. Like a true head-of-state, she decided to wear red as a nod to the Welsh flag and also wore gold hoop earrings by a Welsh jewellery brand, Spells of Love. In addition, the fashion-savvy duchess shows how chic it is to have a sustainable wardrobe by wearing again the coat dress she previously donned last year.
White suiting for the Platinum Jubilee Concert
On Saturday night, it was time for the open-air concert and party. At the Platinum Jubilee Concert, with fabulous performances from Elton John and Diana Ross, the Duchess of Cambridge’s white tailored look with a Bianca Jagger vibe was perfect for singing along with Queen, “We will, we will rock you!” Again, Kate repeated an outfit as she had already worn the Self-Portrait blazer and lace-trimmed skirt in 2021. As for jewellery, she chose oversized hoops and a sleek diamond cross.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s final Jubilee look
The Platinum Jubilee Pageant ended the whirlwind weekend. And Kate indeed closed with a bang the royal festivities wearing a fabulous pink dress. The Duchess of Cambridge’s fuchsia Stella McCartney long-sleeved pleated dress with cinched waist features bell sleeves. And the stylish royal completed her “Pretty in Pink” look with diamond earrings and her hair down.
Congratulations, Her majesty, happy Jubilee!
