The best bags to accompany you back to the office Next season trends.

FashionOutfit ideasFebruary 25, 2022

After quite a long break from the office, there is one specific item that I’m especially looking forward to taking out of the wardrobe again, my bags. Because let’s face it, we haven’t really had many opportunities to carry one of the women’s favourite accessories during the pandemic and home office. So, now that life is finally back to normal, we’ve selected the five best bags to accompany you to the office based on the bags we’ve seen on all runways. And there’s something for every taste, from totes to micro bags.

The Back-to-the-Office Tote

You’ll be ably to carry all you need to the office, and a little bit more in XXL tote bags or play minimalist with small totes. But this model is definitely the official office bag. Totes in big sizes came on-trend in the 2021 runway shows of The Row, Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler, and many other fashion houses, and it’s a good option this year too. But if you are petite and prefer to invest in the more conservative models, we selected for you the most beautiful classic and timeless tote bags.

Micro-mini bags

And because fashion is there for everyone to have fun, besides the big handbag trend, you can also go for tiny, micro bags. Maybe for the days in the office when you don’t have to carry many things but just your pristine style. Brands related to this trend? Jaquemus, Ferragamo, Stella McCartney, By far, among others.

Fluffy bags

A fluffy bag will definitely help you go to the office feeling you’re with your cuddly toy. From shaggy faux fur to fluffy shearling, these handbags are all you need to play with different textures, creating a sophisticated styling. Prada, Burberry, Ports 1961 and Max Mara are just brands offering faux fur bags for many seasons now. And we selected for you some gorgeous bags from Staud and Anine Bing and the sustainable Italian brand The Moirè.

Partying at the office?

Fashion designers are telling us in many different ways that now it’s time to party and celebrate, including our office life. It’s not about throwing a party in the conference room but styling your daily life with a bit of glamour. So we’ll take sparkling bags to the office, silver, golden or sequined bags, as long as it screams party-time. Gucci, Miu Miu, and Paco Rabanne all agree that the Roaring Twenties are back. Style your glitter bag with distressed jeans or tailored pants with sneakers to balance the look.

Chain embellishments

A classic and timeless trend, the chain-embellished bags will still be a thing for a while. Whether delicate or chunky, the chains come in gold silver but are also colourful. We reviewed the bag trends for Spring Summer 22, and chains and metal embellished bags are strong items to add to your wardrobe.
