Fashion brands are taking significant measures to help the world fighting against the pandemic Coronavirus. Giorgio Armani was one of the firsts to announce that his factories would produce medical masks and gowns to help the hospitals in Italy.

The 85 years-old Italian fashion designer was also the first one to cancel his Fall/Winter 20-21 runway show during Milan Fashion Week, last February. Instead, he performed the show behind-closed-doors, without a live audience, and live-streamed it.

The models presented Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 20-21 in an empty Teatro Armani, a custom-built show space on Via Bergognone. The video with the next season collection could be watched on Instagram, Facebook and the brand’s website. In the Armani’s press release, they explained that “the decision was taken to safeguard the wellbeing of all his guests by not having them attend crowded spaces “.

The collection is luxury with purist lines, reminding us of Armani’s signature dialogue of the masculine and feminine world. You’ll also see the come back of a winning combination; the mixing of fabrics like velvet and silk. And, as we all expect, with the perfect Armani’s tailoring.

At the end of the show, 12 sylphlike Chinese models came down the runway wearing archive pieces from Armani’s couture spring privé from 2009 and 2019; two collections inspired by China. A beautiful gest of sympathy and solidarity with the first country suffering from the deadly disease.

We hope everything will be back to normal again, our lives and jobs. In the meantime, let’s watch Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 20-21 as all fashionistas did. I mean, sitting in the comfort of your sofa. So, grab a glass of Valpolicella and relax to the sound of the Rhapsody On a Theme of Paganini.
