“Fight Grey” was the motto of the Vienna Awards 19, that celebrated their 10th anniversary at the beautiful Welt Museum on November 6th.

The organizers from Glam Communications brought together national and international stars under one roof to celebrate diversity and otherness in a truly glamorous and fashionable atmosphere and, of course, to hand over awards to the stars and starlets.

The Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle are Austria’s most important and glamorous fashion gala where creatives from the scene get awarded for their outstanding projects. Stars like Karolina Kurkova, Wolfgang Joop, Michelle Hunziker, Tatjana Patiz, Bar Refaeli, Jerry Hall, Emma Heming-Willis, Kiera Chaplin and Coco Rocha have visited the event in the past years. In 2016, even Iris Apfel flew over to Vienna to fetch her award.

Vienna Awards ’19

This year’s Vienna Awards started with a show by the top hairdressing salon BUNDY BUNDY in cooperation with Schwarzkopf Professional. The dancers of the show couldn’t have been more diverse, making a stand for more tolerance in our grey society. German star designer Michael Michalsky, who won the “21st Century Style Award”, agreed and emphasized the importance of a colourful and open-minded culture in his speech. In the course of the night, Celebrity designer Georges Hobeika showed his creations with an elegant fashion show and won the award in the category “International Designer of the year 2019”. Germany’s Next Top Model winner Barbara Meier was honoured with the “Fair Fashion Award”, and Nadine Leopold got her award for being the model of the year. Sonya Kraus moderated through the night, and Shaya Hansen sang some beautiful tones.

Good job, see you next year!
