Jewellery Guide to A/W 21-22: Focus on earrings and necklaces More Zoom meetings?

In this past year working from home, we’ve all gotten used to dressing up for Zoom meetings paying special attention to accessories like earrings and necklaces that embellish our virtual waist-up office outfits. As a result, fashion designers sent models down the runway wearing fabulous earrings and necklaces during Fashion Week A/W 21-22. So, check our guide with the hottest jewellery trends for fall 2021 and our selection with the best earrings, necklaces and brooches to wear in A/W 21-22, whether for Zoom or to go back to the office.

Fringed Earrings
The number one accessory trend at Fashion Week A/W 21-22 is undoubtedly fringed jewellery. We saw long earrings with fringes at Etro, Lanvin, Rokh, and Isabel Marant. Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood and Chanel also presented the swishing earrings in their fall/winter collections.

Fringed Necklaces
In the same vein, fringed necklaces were also at Etro, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, and Giorgio Armani A/W 21-22 runway shows. With long falling fringes made from pearls, crystals, or beads, you won’t need much else other than this fab swinging jewellery trend to elevate your fall outfits in 2021.

Bold Chokers
Chokers are back in our jewellery guide for A/W 21-22. That is because these bold necklaces have the right length to frame and brighten up your face when worn with pullovers and jackets. Chunky chokers are a jewellery trend present in the collections of Fendi, Rokh, Dolce & Gabbana, Casablanca, and Jil Sander.

Flower Earrings
The flower jewellery trend has left the spring realm and invaded fall 2021 at Simone Rocha, Y/Project, and Alberta Ferretti. The colourful flower earrings are massive and joyful, and they will add a summer vibe and eccentricity to your fall wardrobe.

Single Earrings
Certainly, single earrings are a jewellery trend that’s here for the long haul. We saw the asymmetric look at Artur Arbesser, No.21, and Matty Bovan A/W 21-22 runway shows. Single earrings make outfits edgier and more forward, and it’s the easiest style to recreate from our jewellery guide. In other words, just pick your favourite earrings and either wear them both on one ear as No. 21 showed or solo as the Viennese fashion designer Arthur Arbesser styled.

Statement Earring
Bold earrings are back, hello, the ’80s! One of my favourite jewellery trends for A/W 21-22; oversized earrings embellished the fall runway looks at Emporio Armani, Tom Ford, Paco Rabanne, Colville, and Osman.

Y-shaped Chain Necklace
Ulla Johnson and Dolce & Gabbana created the best jewellery trend to wear over knitwear and turtlenecks in fall and winter 2021, long Y-shaped chain necklaces.

Forever Logomania
The ’80s and ’90s logomania is a thing again, and you will see this trend translated into jewellery pieces everywhere. From Fendi and Prada to Chanel and Hermès. And from Balenciaga and Versace to Moschino and Courèges, A/W 21-22 is all about logos. By the way, you can find great vintage jewellery pieces from Chanel, for example, in second-hand shops like Vestiaire Collective.

Powerful Crystals
Chloé, Tom Ford, and Colville used roughly cut crystals in jewellery pieces with an ethnic vibe for their A/W 21-22 collections. Wear these crystal earrings and necklaces like talismans. We have no idea if they’ll bring you inner peace, but we guarantee they will take you to style heaven.

Bold Flower Brooches
Statement brooches are the best accessories to update and dress up blazers and coats hence another hot trend in our jewellery guide for A/W 21-22. Prabal Gurung and Schiaparelli created bold flower brooches to jazz up Zoom and fall outfits. So, choose big and colourful flower brooches to add a touch of colour and fun next season. And don’t be shy because when it comes to brooches, the more, the merrier!
