The always cool and nonchalant Scandi Style could once again be admired at Copenhagen Fashion Week from August 8 to 12 in the Danish capital. What happened there? Let’s wrap it up in a short recap!
Danish design is known to be sleek and simple, rather than sexy or romantic. In that regard, the visitors of Fashion Week were taken by surprise. Because both, the designs as seen on the runways as well as the street style looks of the attendees were not what we would usually call a classic Danish style.
The presenting designers, like GANNI, By Malene Birger, Astrid Andersen, Lala Berlin and VERENA SCHEPPERHEYN, to name just a few of all the amazing brands, revealed lots of flowers, colors, and patterns in their Spring/Summer 2018 collections. While the cuts of the shirt dresses and oversized long-sleeved blouses remained asymmetrical, the fabrics got a ‘feminine update’. Floral dresses were also the attraction among street styles.
