There is a lot that we can learn from Kate Middleton and we especially like to follow her style advice. She might ‘just’ be the Duchess Of Cambridge but she is definitely the Queen of hats and fascinators. (For her sister’s big day, Kate opted for a headpiece by Jane Taylor.)
Speaking of headpieces – they are a must in the wedding dress code. Designs and styles are multiple, whereby literally almost everything seems to be possible. From funny and exotic to luxury chic! This season’s trends involve classics as fascinators as well as turbans and richly adorned headbands. Since Gucci reintroduced the turban as a smart hair accessory is a place of action moved from the beach to formal events. Philip Treacy is known for his classic approaches but lately also surprised with some very extraordinary designs. Stephen Jones is another English master, appreciated very much by his colleagues, as he created exclusive headpieces fort he runway shows of Christian Dior Haute Couture, Anya Hindmarch, Thom Browne and more. Some of his most outstanding pieces have been on display at the exhibition THE VULGAR, that was shown in London and Vienna. Maybe it’s due to the British weather, but Piers Atkinson is also located on the royal islands, sending his crazy and funny headpieces to celebrities all over to the world. Anna Dello Russo is one of his most faithful fans, others are no less than Rihanna, Katy Perry or Lady Gaga.
So for the still ongoing wedding season, make sure to get one of this amazing pieces – to be ahead with style ;)
