Among designer’s collections and also the cheaper models, we could detect many new formats of headpieces. They are colorful, funny, elegant or convey (cartoon) messages. Fedoras are loved as much as baseball caps. Also, gloves are more remarkable than they used to be. Very prominent are leather gloves that reach a bit further below the wrist. Find below the trending types and our selected favorites for this season!
Fedoras that are ornamented with brooches, feathers or patches best safe the head and the face from snow. A cooler, more casual alternative is the Baseball cap, that has been adapted for winter and comes quilted, in woolen fabrics or in fake fur! Another thing in this year: The Beret.
The beanie is the ultimate winter gear. Some seasons ago, the smurf beanie was trending, now it became more colorful, adorned with motifs, patterns or pompoms. Thereby the same rules apply as for scarves: It does NOT have to match the rest of the outfit!
Leather Gloves are the chicest way of protecting the hands from the cold. Neutral colors convey a lot of elegance and lady-ness. Variations with embroidery or applications add flamboyance – if needed ;)
For the perfect coziness in deep, cold winter (especially at Christmas markets), thick gloves with lining or shearling are the safest choice. They might not be as noble as the leather equivalent, but they serve and they look really, really cool!
