The New York City FIT, or Fashion Institute of Technology, is hosting an exhibit that keeps our blood pumping. Get ready for Force of Nature, the exhibit that explores the relationship between fashion and natural sciences. And for us, lovers of both, nothing could sound more appealing.
Clearly enough, it is not by chance that this exhibition seems to be popping up at a time when science is a hot, worrisome topic. According to Fashion Unfiltered, Melissa Marra, curator, has said:
“The fact that we are opening now and putting it up now is definitely timely. There's so much in the air about the environment and the importance of respecting our natural world.”
Beginning its journey in the 18th century, Force of Nature is divided into ten sections, each of which covers one unique way in which fashion and natural sciences are intertwined. But let's say no more: you can find the teaser above.
If you are thinking NY is a bit far, worry not, because the exhibition is open to visitors until mid-November this year.
